This is an initiative that has realised that many people are having more deliveries than ever before. However, people are less at home than ever before and this means there is a need to have somewhere to have Parcels kept for the customer in a secure environment and available to be picked up at a time that is convenient to them. The service will be available during the normal working hours of your store and this means that the customer will have parcels delivered to your shop during the day and for the customer to pick them up on their way home; knowing that they won’t be getting wet, stolen or broken into if left out or returned to their warehouse many miles from where they live.
The initiative is called PARCELPOINT for obvious reasons and it is built around you and your establishment. It is up to you to advertise it and you will reap the rewards. The PARCELPOINT organisation is there to provide support and continuity to YOU. The price for the PARCELPOINT service is a small, but more than adequate to keep the customer and you happy. The entire fee from the customer is yours to keep and there are no catches regarding it. Yes there are some costs involved. These are the cost of joining PARCELPOINT and the amount of marketing you wish to do. We at PARCELPOINT have marketing paperwork for you to put through the door of your customers and at this point in time it costs you 10p + your delivery cost per customer for this. This is what it costs us and we will continue to monitor this to see if it can be reduced.
Currently we offer you a starter pack of shop documentation and 100 customer marketing pack for £15 and then £10 for every addition 100 customer marketing pack. This helps you in many ways including:
- It emphasises that you are looking at how you can improve your services to the customer
- It re-enforces your presence.
- It shows you are modernising and thinking about them the customer
- It shows you are including your business in an advanced initiative.
To join ParcelPoint as an agent the fee is currently £26 ex VAT per annum. This means it costs you less than 50p per week for membership (not including VAT).
